The world of Rishiri kombu was introduced to the president of Tanaka by chance. When he came to Rishiri Island in Hokkaido on a business trip, he saw that the people living on the coast had shiny black hair and bright eyes, so he began to study the kombu on Rishiri Island and opened up the possibility of hair care products.
